Co-founder and investor in capital funds and business angel networks, Urs has a solid track record as a serial entrepreneur and expert in start-ups, corporate innovation and technological entrepreneurship. He is currently Co-Founder and General Partner of ALX Firstech Ventures FCRE, focused on promoting B2B SaaS startups in sectors such as fintech, cybersecurity and insurtech, betting on disruptive technologies such as artificial intelligence, blockchain, IoT and 5G.

He is also co-founder and Managing Partner of COREangels Barcelona, a network of investors that supports pre-seed and seed stage startups through financing and strategic mentoring.

Professional and teaching experience

Co-founder and managing partner of Firstech Ventures (since 2024), a €40 million European venture capital fund specialising in B2B SaaS startups in fintech, cybersecurity and insurtech. He is also co-founder and managing partner of COREangels Barcelona (since 2021), a network of business angels with a portfolio of 21 startups. In addition, since 2020, he has been collaborating as an advisor and venture partner in international funds and firms such as Loyal VC and Match-Maker Ventures, supporting the growth and internationalisation of technology startups.

Urs tiene experiencia como profesor de Innovación y Design Thinking en el MBA in Digital Ecosystem Management de Three Points – The School for Digital Business. También colabora con OBS Business School desde hace años como profesional experto en emprendimiento e innovación.

He collaborates with OBS Business School as an expert professional in entrepreneurship and innovation, participating in various academic and professional initiatives. Of particular note is his participation in the OBS Entrepreneurship Awards, an initiative of the Careers department, where he accompanies, evaluates and mentors students' entrepreneurial projects.
