OBS Business School's entrepreneurial ecosystem headlines the 2nd edition of the Entrepreneurship Award

OBS Business School, member of the Planeta Formación y Universidades higher education network, hosted the 2nd Edition of the Entrepreneurship Award, held at the Planeta Formación y Universidades auditorium by the school's Careers Department on the 30th of September and streamed 100% online.

Raquel Clavería, Career Manager, conducted the ceremony in which Matter of Trust LATAM, a project led by Mattia Carenini, student of the Global MBA programme, proved to be the final winner of the second edition. A €6,000 prize for the acceleratation of his project, the school also offers international visibility to business angels and venture capitals. The other two finalist projects were:

  • ByRoomNumber, presented by Diego Castro.
  • REM, led by Nelson Ulloa.

The jury included leading figures of the entrepreneurial ecosystem: Simón Lee, founder of Peninsula Corporate Innovation and GameBCN; Urs Rothmayr, co-founder of COREangels Barcelona and ALX Firstech Ventures FCRE; Dr Casilda Güell, dean of OBS Business School; and Tom Van der Heyden, director of the school's Master in Innovation and Entrepreneurship.

The event also included a round table discussion featuring Wavveup co-founders Laura Tejada and Albert Xavier Pérez, both alumni of the OBS Master in Executive Coaching and Leadership, who spoke on their experiences in creating innovative projects and the value of entrepreneurial networks.

As part of the Entrepreneurship Path launched in 2023, the event falls within an initiative designed to enhance the entrepreneurial skills of students and alumni. This commitment can also be observed in the Employment Report 2025, which highlights that 18.4% of the institution's students have already become entrepreneurs while more than 88% believe that the school has contributed to the development of their business or creative process.
