Alumni Privacy Policy

1. Who is responsible for the processing of your data?

OBS Formación Online en Management, S.L., with CIF B-02.964.989 located in Avenida Diagonal 662-664, 08034 Barcelona, will be responsible for the personal data provided through the Alumni Club (hereafter also referred to as the "Club").

2. For what purpose do we process your personal data?

We will process your personal data as described below:

  1. By verifying your student status or OBS alumni status.
  2. By managing your Alumni Club membership and the derivative relationship.
  3. Address any complaints, enquiries or informative requests you may have.
  4. Inform and manage your subscription and attendance to OBS organized events of such as formation programmes, workshops and activities available to you as a Alumni Club member.
  5. Forward by any channel, including online, information related to activities, services, opportunities and benefits available to you as a Alumni Club member.
  6. In your case, provide your E-Club registration in order to benefit from the services and opportunities offered to Club users.
  7. Enable the interaction within the Club members by emails, virtual campus, phone and social media;
  8. Give support, in your case, in the OBS Job Board registration.
  9. Provide you access to our Digital Library, OBS specialized blogs, OBS latest research reports and the“The OBServer Alumni Review” magazine.
  10. Provide you information about the e-Commerce Institute scholarships and workshops and manage your scholarship requests.
  11. Manage, in your case, your LideraT-360º registration, a professional skills auto-evaluation tool.
  12. Manage, in your case, the “Executive Coaching” and “Project Mentoring registration, both consistent personal and professional development programmes, in which you are supported by a coach throughout the attainment of all its objectives by the design and execution of an action plan.
  13. Provide information on the education sector.

The legitimate basis for the aforementioned will be the execution of the contractual relationship with you as a consequence upon your registration to set Alumni Club by giving your agreement to the terms and conditions of involvement.

The registration requested data are necessary for the management of your Alumni Club membership and later event, activities and opportunities benefit. By not providing such data, we will not be able to manage your membership nor your involvement.

3. What type of personal data will we process?

The personal data concerning you that we will process are those provided during the Alumni Club membership registration, as well as those subsequently provided as a result of your participation in any of the activities, events, courses or services to which you have access as a member of our Club.

This data will at all times belong to the following categories: identification, contact, curricular and/or professional data.

4. How long will we keep your data for?

Previously cited personal data will be kept as long as you maintain your club member condition as long as you do not request their suppression.

Once you request to unsubscribe from the aforementioned club or exercise your rights of suppression or opposition to the processing of your data, the data will be kept blocked, preventing their processing, except to make them available to judges and courts, the Public Prosecutor's Office or the competent Public Administrations, in particular the data protection authorities, in case of the possible holding of accountability arose from their treatment and only for the statute of limitations.

5. To which recipients will your data be communicated?

OBS will share your personal data to:

  • Third parties to whom it is legally obliged to do so, including public authorities and administrations.
  • Third parties to whom it is necessary to protect the rights of OBS, the safety of other members or third parties or for fraud investigation.
  • Educational institutions, in the event that you enrolled in programmes, courses and training activities organised by them, or by OBS in partnership with such educational institutions. In these cases the sharing of data will be necessary to ensure your participation in the programme, course or activity for which you have registered.
  • In the event that you complete the application form for scholarships related to the e-Commerce Institute, the data contained in this form will be transferred to the e-Commerce Institute, so that the latter, as being party responsible for the processing of them, proceeds to the assessment of your application for the purpose of granting or denying the scholarship requested. As indicated, the transfer of your data by OBS to the e-Commerce Institute is necessary so that the aforementioned entity can process your scholarship application and rule on it's granting or denial.

 6. Are data transferred internationally?

If you have enrolled in courses, programmes or activities organised by educational institutions located outside the European Economic Area or by OBS in partnership with such educational institutions, OBS shall subscribe Standard Contractual Clauses and/or take such other steps as may be necessary to ensure that the transfer of your data is carried out in accordance with the data protection regulations. You can contact OBS for further information at the addresses provided in the "What are your rights" section.

Likewise, as a consequence of the transfer of your data to the e-Commerce Institute for the processing of your scholarship application, your data will be transferred to Buenos Aires, Argentina, where this entity is located. The aforementioned international transfer of data is regulated by the Commission Decision 2003/490/EC of 3 June 2003, by which the aforementioned country is considered to have an adequate level of protection for personal data.  7. What are your rights?

Any person has the right to obtain confirmation from OBS whether or not it is processing personal data concerning them.

You may exercise your rights of access, rectification, suppression and portability of your data, of limitation and opposition to its processing before OBS FORMACIÓN ONLINE EN MANAGEMENT, S.L. by letter addressed to Apartado de Correos 221 de Barcelona or by sending an email to [email protected].

Likewise, when you deem it appropriate, you may file a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency, especially when you consider that we have not duly satisfied the exercise of your rights.
