Ricard Muñoz's testimonial about the Master in Management Coaching and Leadership

We are OBS

Ricard Muñoz, Spanish Women's Roller Hockey Coach and Media Executive at FC Barcelona, shares his experience as a student of the Master in Management Coaching and Leadership at OBS.

"OBS adapts perfectly to what I was looking for, because it has given me the opportunity to grow from a more academic point of view, with a very specific methodology and has allowed me to continue to grow and try to incorporate all my knowledge and experiences".

Why did you decide to study this Master's degree?

I chose the Master in Management Coaching and Leadership because the school gave me the opportunity to grow from a more academic, more structural point of view, so to speak; with a very specific methodology and it seemed to me a good way to continue growing and try to incorporate all my knowledge and experiences with this more structured part. So, I think OBS was perfectly suited to what I was looking for.

Why did you choose to study it at OBS?

I wanted to be sure that I could contribute something, and also with some very specific peculiarities, such as the fact that the school is online, which makes it easier to combine work and academic life. From the beginning, I had the feeling that it met all these requirements, both in terms of teaching staff, activities and syllabus. And the fact that I had classmates from all over the world, I think that was a plus that made me decide.

What benefits does the online methodology has for you?

It seems to me, to be a necessity nowadays. That is to say, society has changed, it has evolved and I think that the pandemic has also made us aware of an important change in the way we communicate, relate to each other, work... and in this sense, training is at the first level, we have to continue training ourselves to be at the forefront of our disciplines. In this case, it seems to me to be a necessity and I believe that OBS has been applying it perfectly, not just now, but for many years. And in this sense, I think it has that extra advantage over many other companies, which I think, in its case, is something newer or more recent.

How has your experience been at OBS?

Everything I have said so far, I think, captures a bit of the feeling I have towards the school. That is to say, I think that the experience with OBS, from the first moment you contact the school to ask for information about the Masters until today, that I am lucky enough to collaborate and contribute in some way with the Alumni Community.

How do you imagine your professional future after your programme?

I would like to continue growing, not only to get to know this discipline, but also to expand my knowledge and why not apply it in my work and professional environment. I believe that in the end the knowledge of leadership and coaching is not only applied to the company or group management, but also in your personal life and for this alone, it is worthwhile and I would like to continue to grow as a professional and as a person.

What would you say to a person considering studying at OBS?

I could certainly explain my experience with OBS and from there I could give you the possibility to get to know the school, to compare it, of course, and to accompany this person so that he or she can make the best decision. But without a doubt, OBS would be my recommendation for all the aspects I have mentioned.
