Michela Pincay, Entrepreneur and Influencer, explains her opinion as a student of the Master in Corporate Communication Management at OBS.

Michela shares her vision of studying a Master's in Corporate Communication Management: "My experience has been very good, I felt good and I feel that I have learned, and that is the most important thing. That's why I enrolled, I feel that at the beginning one person entered the programme and after finishing the Master's in Corporate Communication Management, another one has come out much more professionally prepared".

Why did you decide to study this Master's degree?

I had the need to deepen my knowledge of communication, I had been working in this area for 10 years, but I felt that I was not prepared and I was also challenging myself to start ventures that required a more conceptualised approach to communication. I found it, I saw it all of a sudden, I was eager to continue studying because I really like studying.

Why did you choose to study it at OBS Business School?

I saw the information, I started to ask some people in my close circle, there was a friend who had done it, she had a good experience, I called, they attended me quickly, they gave me all the options and told me the steps to follow, and in two days I was in.

What did you think of the Student ON Methodology?

Thanks to the OBS methodology, I felt like I was in class, I felt I had a responsibility all the time. Also, this commitment you have with your classmates means that if you don't have the time, you can find it, because if you decide that you don't want to do the work, because you'll do it tomorrow, or maybe you don't want to do the exercise, then you force yourself to say: no, my friends have already done this part of the work, this part is mine, so I'm going to contribute. I think it is a very good experience, in the end you end up thinking that you are in a classroom, in direct contact with your classmates and it adapts very well to the time of any professional.

Have you been able to develop new skills during the Master?

They were very useful to me - and I always say this when I am asked - in an immediate way. I just finished my Master's and the following months I had the challenge of starting to develop the communication of a new business, in which I might have had to hire a professional to tell me what I had to do. But I started to look for my homework, I started to look for my notes and it helped me to resolve certain doubts, to do things in the right way, in the professional way that I had learnt. So, I developed a lot of communication skills, of sending messages correctly, of creating something that was coherent with the rest of the communication that I was carrying out within my project. And I was able to apply it immediately.

How has your experience been at OBS?

Very good, very pleasant, I really finished in the time I had set... Obviously, there is some part where you say: "I don't want to do any more exercises", but that happens with everything, if it wasn't like that I don't think education would be good. I felt good, I felt that I learnt and that's what's important, that's what you sign up for, to learn more: one person came in and another came out much better prepared after this master's degree.

How do you imagine your professional future after your programme?

My future is my present, it already worked for me. It is as I imagined it, I didn't need to hire other professionals to do the work I needed. I applied absolutely everything they taught me, I really liked the fact that we had real cases because they are really very applicable to what can happen to you in a company: crisis management, effective communication management. So, I believe that my future - the one I imagined before - is the present I am having today, thanks to everything I learned.

What would you say to a person considering studying a Master’s at OBS?

If your excuse is time, "I'm not going to learn in the same way", I think that when you start a challenge or want to pursue a goal, whatever it may be, what you really need is commitment. If you commit yourself to what you want to achieve: to learn, to know more, to broaden your knowledge and to take advantage of every part of it, you will do very well. Do it! You won't regret it, it's a very good experience, you have a very good networking. The most important thing is that you will satisfy that need you have now to know more and prepare yourself to be a better professional.
