
OBS Business School and the Áurea Foundation organise a charity collection campaign
More than 60 children will receive toys this holiday season thanks to donations from the campaign
Between the 1st and the 11th of December, OBS Business School carried out a charity campaign in collaboration with the Áurea Foundation, which works to promote the social, economic and employment development of the most disadvantaged groups. The initiative took place in the various Planeta Formación y Universidades buildings, where collection points for food, hygiene products and toys were set up.
Volunteer participation and donations
The campaign was very well received by the community: a total of 59 donations were recorded, resulting in 600 hygiene products and food items, as well as 90 toys for the little ones. Thanks to these contributions, 67 children will receive a Christmas gift.
The campaign also saw the active participation of volunteers from OBS Business School. On Friday 12 December, a meeting was held at the Fundación Áurea's premises in Barcelona, where the team attended an introductory talk on the organisation's objectives and projects in support of the most disadvantaged communities.
They then took part in two parallel workshops: organising markets and sorting and packaging the toys collected during the campaign.
This action directly contributes to the following Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):
- SDG 1. No poverty: support for vulnerable families and children.
- SDG 2. Zero hunger: improve acces to basic nutitrition by providing food.
- SDG 3. Good health and well-being: delivery of essential hygiene products.
- SDG 12. Responsible consumption and production: promotion of reuse and responsible donation of resources.
- SDG 17. Partnerships for the goals: collaboration between OBS and the Áurea Foundation as members of the Voluntare network.
This campaign consolidates OBS Business School's commitment to social responsibility, highlighting the importance of working together with social organisations to create a tangible, positive impact on society.
